Diemo — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Diemo (“the app”) is developed and published by Sopravo (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific.

In short

  • Your counters and settings live on your device.
  • We do not sell your data, show ads, or build advertising profiles.
  • There is no Diemo account and no Sopravo server holding your data.
  • Data leaves your device in three cases only: an optional backup you start, which goes to your own Google Drive; crash and usage diagnostics we use to keep the app stable; and loading a background photo from our photo library provider.

What the app stores on your device

The app stores the counters you create — their names, dates, colours, icons, photos you choose — along with your app settings, locally on your device. This information stays on the device unless you use the backup feature described below.

Optional Google Drive backup

If you choose to back up, the app requests access to Google Drive using the drive.file scope. What this means in practice:

  • The backup is uploaded to your own Google Drive account — not to us. It is a single file named diemo_backup.zip, and each backup replaces the previous one.
  • The drive.file scope limits the app to only the files it creates. Diemo cannot see, read, or access any of your other Drive files.
  • Sopravo does not receive, store, or have access to your backup. It stays in your Google account, under your control.
  • Diemo requests only that one scope. To show you which account your backups go to, the app reads that account's email address from Google Drive. It is displayed on the Backup screen, stays on your device, and is never sent to us.

You can delete a backup at any time from your Google Drive, and you can revoke the app's access at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps & services.

Crash and usage diagnostics

To find and fix crashes and stability problems, the app uses Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase, both provided by Google. These send us:

  • The type of error and where it happened (a stack trace);
  • App version, device model, operating-system version, and general device state at the time (for example available memory or screen orientation);
  • Coarse region, derived from the network connection — country level, not a precise location;
  • A random, app-generated installation identifier that is not linked to your identity;
  • Basic usage events, such as which screens are opened, why the Diemo Pro screen was shown, whether a purchase went through and for which plan, and the size of a widget you add, so we can tell which features are actually used. These are fixed categories, never anything you type;
  • The identifier of a library background photo that our provider no longer serves, so we can replace it. Photos from your own device are never reported.

This data goes to our Firebase dashboard and is used only to diagnose problems and improve the app. It does not include the contents of your counters, and we do not use it to identify you personally. Google processes this data as our service provider; see Google's privacy policy.

You can turn usage events off at any time in the app, under Settings → Share usage statistics. Crash reports keep being sent so we can still fix problems.

Background photos

Diemo offers a curated library of background images supplied by Pexels. When you browse that library or display a counter using one of those images, your device requests the image directly from Pexels. As with loading any image on the internet, Pexels receives your device's IP address and browser-style request headers. Sopravo does not receive this information, and no counter data is sent to Pexels. See the Pexels privacy policy.

Photos you choose from your own device are never uploaded anywhere. They stay on the device (and go into your own Drive backup, if you use it).

Diemo Pro purchases

Paid features are sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and holds your payment details; Sopravo never sees your card, bank, or billing address. The app asks Google Play whether your account owns Diemo Pro and stores only the answer — a simple “Pro is active” flag — on your device. Google also provides us, through the Play Console, with aggregate sales figures and, for individual orders, an order number and country; we use these only for accounting and to help with refund requests you send us. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles purchase data.

What we do not collect

  • No name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
  • No precise location, and no GPS or location permission is requested.
  • No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad tracking.
  • No sale or sharing of your data with third parties for their own purposes.

App permissions

Diemo asks for as little as the platform allows. It uses network access for Drive backup, background photos, and diagnostics. On Android 13 and later it asks for permission to show notifications, used only for the counter reminders you turn on; you can say no and the rest of the app works the same. It does not request location, contacts, microphone, or camera access.

Choosing a photo from your device goes through your operating system's own photo picker, which hands the app only the image you select — it does not grant Diemo access to the rest of your photo library.

Data retention and deletion

  • On your device: uninstalling the app removes its local data.
  • Drive backup: delete the backup file from your Google Drive, and/or revoke the app's access as described above.
  • Diagnostics: crash and usage data is retained by Firebase for a limited period under Google's defaults. To request deletion of diagnostics associated with your installation, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Diemo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because Diemo has no accounts and we hold no personal profile about you, in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete beyond the diagnostics described above. If you would like to make a request, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
